Hi Guys!

I am a starter of SAP MDM.

Could anyone pls give me the key-areas (topics) i have to go about in MDM?

it would be helpful if you can also give me the number of days (approx) each topic takes...

Hi Pavan ,

Mainly 4 topics : Console (1 month) , Import Manager (15 days) , Data Manager (1 month) , Syndicator (15 days) . Obviously days are subjected to be debatable .

Master-data harmonization,

Central master-data management,

Rich product-content management,

Customer data integration,

Global data synchronization, etc...

where are these topics covered actually.

are these the part of the MDM main course?

Hi Pavan ,

These r diff scnerios(modes) of MDM in which ways it can be used .

ex - MDM is implemeted in 3 parts :

Consolidation - Harmonisation - central master data .

Rich product-content management is used for Products (image, catalog , web , print ) .

Customer data integration is to harmonize customer master data records across heterogeneous systems .

Global data synchronization is that master data is shared/maintained by business partners as well .
