Hi XI World

In more inputs on this pl...? So choosing SAP XI better for my future ?

I got almost not to choose ...but some extend yes

So is it better stick on to Java/J2ee rather xi ?

Since you already know Java/J2EE, there is nothin wrong in learning XI but dont expect too much immediately. Eventually you'll get it if you are ready with XI rather than learning XI when its already hot.

So, learn it and wait for the right time since anyway it takes 2, 3 months to learn XI and in mean time job market for XI should pick up.

Hey Rakesh

My suggestion is try to continue and if want a change then only go for XI

with your Java/J2ee.

I think you can work on XI or Java/j2ee or Both

I think EP also very good for you because you already know java

New technologies immee....many jobs will not be there but updation will be

very good. So that is upto you what you want to be

This is mainly for XI related questions rather jobs and you can check jobs in

portals, that will give you better idea

I hope this will answer you

Prasad

Hi Rakesh,

Can I know like,Did you tried any job,Did you attended any interviews.

As per as my concern there are lot of openings in XI.

Do not listen some body words,be confident and be positive, sure you will get a good job in a good company.

I would suggest you to please attend interviews as much as you can.

Hi

Who are they? There are into SAP? Or not? Don’t worry...They are plenty

Look at the following job options in India as well aboard too

Great... Well, I appreciate your interest and according to me good openings on the following

1) ABAP+ XI Very good with Java/J2ee knowledge added adv...

2) XI + EP is excellent but here Java/J2ee must but ABAP knowledge added adv

3) Java/J2ee+XI Very good but you should have ABAP knowledge ..it is imp

4) At present Very hot is ABAPJava/J2eeXI/EP this combination is really

good and the best in market

5) Java Webservices(Soap) + XI is also very good in India

6) Full net weaver ) like EP+ MDM+ CAF etc...that also good

So u first you analyze your self where you are? And which is your career path

then choose any one of the above....::::))))

I hope it will answer you question and future where you will :::)))

All best for your future

Chandrasekhar,

actually even i have noticed that the clients are less willing to go for XI as compared to other NetWeaver products like SAP BI and Portals. Typically SAP BW is very very hot even though there are many other good data warehousing products. But such is not case with XI. XI is always compared with WebMethods, IBM WBI and TIBCO.

Whats are your experiences about this?

Hi,

Yes i agree, while selecting a guy for integration process consultant/job, they will also see for integration tools experience.

I replied to only XI related jobs requirement.

so many jobs are posted in naukri,jobsahead,timesjobs... jobportals for SAP XI candidates..please search and apply with confidence.

Hi Rakesh

As i mentioned in this thread there is lot of demand for combination

like ABAPXI, JAVAXI, EP+XI

Are you going to apply as a fresher in XI?

I too will agree that very less chances compare to Java/J2ee in tha market

But XI has it own market....

All the best

To be really frank, XI has got lot of hype in USA but jobs are not that many when compared to the hype it is getting. May be XI job market will pickup soon but as of now there are not many jobs in USA compared to the XI consultants getting trained here in USA and people coming to USA from India.

Hi Rakesh,

I really don't know, on wht basis they r saying this.. there are lot of requirements for SAP-XI believe me... and you also have java back ground, it is not a big issue to get into market.. plz focus on interviews as well as subject.. definetely u can ..
