Append functionality in Outbound File Adapter

Hi all,

I have a question regarding append functionality in outbound file adapter.

When I append files for example I get a XML file with different XML files in one file, but is it also possible to collect and bundle the files and get a same result when u use BPM?

Do I have to add some parameters?

Yes you have to set perameters even you used BPM.please see the below link

But I guess I wasn't clear about my question. I dont want to use BPM instead I want to use append functionality in outbound file adapter and I want to have the same result as when you use BPM. Is this possible?

It is not possible, when you append XML files.

The result XML file is not valid, as you have multiple declarations and root tags.

The append mode for the file adapter should be used only for flat files.

yes it is possible with multiple enhanced bulk mapping.

Collecting of mesg. can be done in BPM. Then using a multimapping, say N:1 you can post a single file.

yes you can do this woth BPM. It is so called Multi-Mapping.

For samples navigate to SWC SAP BASIS, which is installed by default.

Hi,

it doesn't matter if you use a BPM or not as long as you use

the same file adapter with append mode files will get appended
