Hi,

I dounloaded SAPNW2004S JAVA trail version. i want to install it on my machine any body tell me how to procede further thanks in advance.

Hi Kiran,

check out the PAM matrix for the same in service market place. check the version of DB & Java to be used. and follow these steps.

1) first install a Server Version OS like Windows 2000 or 2003 server edition, along with service packs and hotfixs if any.

2) install Java (j2sdk version higher that 1.4.2.08 or higher), don't go for J2sdk1.5.

3) set JAVA_HOME,PATH etc environmental variables.

4) set Server settings like N/w Thruput & virtual Memory setting as per the guide.

5) install DB, along with SP and Hotfixs.

6) then make sure all the server services are up and DB is also up and running.

7) then execute the SAPInst.exe file.
