Question from ISV:
Since we are using NW04s, we should be using PI 7.0. There is no PI 7.0 system in the ICC catalog of systems available. According to ICC, you believe that the certification for XI 3.0 and PI 7.0 may be the same. Our PI consultant concurs that perhaps SAP is likely listing certification for XI 3.0 (for which you do have a system) and PI 7.0 (for which you dont) to be approximately the same layout, content, and configuration.
Will an XI 3.0 certification get us PI 7.0 as well?
Answer from ICC:
In reality, there is not much difference between XI 3.0 and PI 7.0; It is just a renaming. Whichever SAP XI/PI system you have your XI content on during the certification exam will be the version we will record on your TTP as well as your test report.
Hi John,
Its true that XI 3.0 and PI 7.0 is almost same, there is not much difference between these two but still the certification for these two version are different. As per my view if you are certified for XI 3.0 then you are not certified for PI 7.0. You have to appear in exam of PI 7.0 separately.
