Creating Engineering Change Number

Hi

Can any one tell me is there a easy way to create a Engineering change number in our own CUSTOM PROGRAM. I need to create this Engineering change number and then I need to read this number as well in my interface program that Create/Change Specificaiton in SAP RM system.

The Engineering change number will help me to find out the delta, if there is a change made to the specification data in RM/.

Hi,

I think you can crate a BDC for T-code ‘ CC01’, the only easy method.

Could you be bit clear why CC01 is different from using the function module CCAP_ECN_CREATE.

What I have found is Creating a Change master number using CC01 looks for the the profile (Table TCC15 ) .

You may use function module CCAP_ECN_CREATE. Please note that it is not released for customer. It works fine though.
