Not able to create a new repository

We are not able to create a new repository in my development server. I am getting one error ( Return Code : 0xFFAB4115 ) . Pls comment

Hi Himanshu,

the RC refers to a "Repository Port Out of Range Error". Which repository port did you define? In addition, is the database connection set up properly?

I will check port nos. but how to set DBMS settings in proper manner ?

Actually I have taken archive of my main production Repository and trying to run it on my test server ,but not able to unarchive and also not able to create New Repository.

we are using Sun Solaris with Oracle as DB

One reason could be the difference in version of the two installs.

Also check if the database is the same version on both environmnents. Make sure you have at least another repository running and then attempt to unarchive the new one, I've seen this is an issue sometimes

We had this error too and we find out that there were to less space on the server.

We cleaned this up and afterwards we created some repositorys.

Hope this will be also the case for you.

Actually it was some version mismatch problem .

But once again thanks for ur comment because i checked server space and it was about to be full. Its not creating problem at this moment but may cause in future

hi himanshu,

the problem should be with port number only. check if the port number or the successive two port numbers are already in use. ..eg if you are giving port no as say 2661 then 2662 and 2663 ports will also be used. check if these are in use from your network adminstrator.
