Sameer,

You have to go to https://service.sap.com/serviceconnection

Then click on the type of connection you want to make.

When the connection shows up on the top of the page then click on it again.

You will go to a screen where you have to enter the time period for the connection and click on a check box for SAP's agreement to connect.

Then on the bottom of that page there is a botton that says connect.

Click on that bottton and the stfk.oez file is downloaded. Then open the stfk.oez file.

At this point if the connection is successfull you will be prompted.

Then click on the bottom of the page for connection Ok

If you are prompted that the connection is unsuccessful. Check and make sure your saprouter is working in sm59 and that the port settings and host name for the service connection are defined properly.

Hope this helps,

Karim

Hi Karim,

Thanks a ton for answering! I also found a few documents (had to search for them for tooooo long) in regard to remote connections.

Reading them and your reply was tremendously helpful for my understanding.

Thanks again for the reply!

Hi.

To generate the file you have to download it from the SUPPORT PORTAL (service.sap.com/HELP & SUPPORT/Connect to SAP)

Refer to this documentation for the procedure https://websmp108.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700003071932006

Hi Karim,

how are you doing?

when you download the service connector, please ensure that you have internet connectivity on the machine you run it

once that is done, please give it your sap router details...

please refer to sap notes : 494980, 605795

if you would like me to post their content, please let me know.

with respect,

amit
