Hey guys,
We recently upgraded our XI system from SP9 to SP19. Checking the http://host:50000/sap/monitoring/ComponentInfo page, we found inconsistencies in components SP level:
SAP_JTECHS 6.40 SP9 (1000.6.40.9.0.20041119045630) SAP AG SAP AG 20041122132741
SAP_JTECHF 6.40 SP9 (1000.6.40.9.0.20041119045516) SAP AG SAP AG 20041122132734
SAP-JEE 6.40 SP19 (1000.6.40.19.0.20061027073233) SAP AG SAP AG 20070123165511
SAP-JEECOR 6.40 SP19 (1000.6.40.19.0.20061027073059) SAP AG SAP AG 20070123174423
SAP_XITOOL 3.0 SP9 (1000.3.0.9.0.20041026233717) SAP AG SAP AG 20060807094410
SAP-XIAFC 3.0 SP10 (1000.3.0.10.0.20050105210706) SAP AG SAP AG 20070123114427
SAP_XIAF 3.0 SP10 (1000.3.0.10.1.20050201060356) SAP AG SAP AG 20070123180856
Using the SDM tool to check SP level, we discovered that all components appear with SP19.
Does any one know how to correct this discrepancy between Component Info page and SDM tool?
Are we missing something?
Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks in advanced.
Regards,
Mauricio
I suggest you to un-deploy from SDM the:
SAP_JTECHS 6.40 SP9
SAP_JTECHF 6.40 SP9
SAP_XITOOL 3.0 SP9
and deploy-it again with SDM.

Sandro,
Thanks for the reply.
Checking the undeploy tab in SDM, it shows available undeployment elements at java package level (com.sap.aii.af.jmsproviderlib, com.sap.ip.basecomps, etc), and not as software component level (SAP_JTECHS 6.40 SP9, SAP_JTECHF 6.40 SP9, SAP_XITOOL 3.0 SP9, SAP_XIAF 3.0 SP10 or SAP-XIAFC 3.0 SP10).
Undeploying SAP_JTECHS 6.40 SP9 means to undeploy one package by one included in the software component. Just to be clear, are you suggesting doing this?
My concern is because there are dependencies between packages and we could undeploy a package that is not contained in the SCA file.
Do you know a way to undeploy by software component and not by java package?
Thanks again.
Cheers,
Mauricio

Hi Mauricio -
Before undeploying anything, it may be worthwhile to attempt applying the full SP for the Java/J2EE server via sapinst again (as described in the <a href="http://service.sap.com/~sapidb/011000358700005930602005E">SP-Stack Guide</a>). This should take care of your SAP-JEE, SAP-JEECOR, SAP_JTECHF, and SAP_JTECHS components. Upon successful completion, via SDM, you can deploy (redeploy) SAP-XIAFC, SAP-XIAF, and SAP_XITOOL. Don't forget about the SAP_BASIS 6.40 XI content.
I assume your BASIS (on ABAP stack) is on SP19 as well. Double check the guide to confirm all the necessary components.
Regards,
Jin
