Activation Request shows queued for deployment

Hi,

We are developing a webdynpro application. For this we have created a WebDynpro DC and we are trying to check in the changes into DTR. Initially it showed activation and deployment status as success.

But later when we check in the activities, activation status showed success while the deployment status contineous to show in running state.

We thought this process might take time and we waited for a while (as long for 2 days) but the status did not change to success.

For the same reason, we are unable to check our changes on development sever after we check in and release our activity.

Please guide us as to how to deploy applications on development box and pointers on why does it shows forever the deployment status as running.

Hi

Have you checked if the idlestart parametre is set to False?

In the track definition, Please check that you do not have the following;

http://<hostname>:50000/dtr

http://<hostname>:50000

This problem can be caused before by not having the Fully Qualified

Host Name stored.

Please update it with the complete host name eg;

"http://<hostname>.company.corp:50000"

Then save the track, and "save and restore" and then the requests

should process successfully.

Shalini, unfortunately I cannot do much with transporation studio due to limited permissions. But I will definately pass on this forum link to the JDI admin.

Kenny, yes we are using FQDN.

Ashutosh,

If the deployment on the NWDI takes a long time,try clicking the "Unlock selected components" icon in the transport studio and deploy them again.A server restart might also help.
