Dear Friends,
Can anybody give me the comparison of R/3 purchasing and SRM (e procurement)?
Your answer to this query would be greatly appreciated.

Some features like Bidding, auction etc and supplier self service (system usage by vendor) etc are better handled in the SRM system than R/3.

Hi
MySAP SRM is a new dimesion product and a new solution that you can implement in a heterogeneous system environment that includes SAP systems and/or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems as backend systems. You must have the components Financial Accounting and Controlling in your system environment.
Whereas normal SAP Purchasing is a part of MM Module, which you will find, generally for a single complex system containing all other SAP Modules like FI, SD, PP, QM modules, collectively in a single SAP R/3 system.
Hope this will help.
Pls reward suitable points.
