Path for oraarch and origlogX directories

Former Member

Hi all,

I have the need to change the installation path of some Oracle 10.2.0.2 directories. These are origlogX and oraarch.

In fact I do not change the path during sap installation, and now my systems create continuously logs, fulling up my Windows partition.

Is there a manner to perform this change?

My sap systems will be damaged?

Have I to perform some changes in profile parameters?

Thanks a lot to all!

Regards

Daniele

no you can't

drop 1 log

create 1 new log

repeat

switch logs

drop last remaining old one

create new one

done

sap note 3809 is still valid for this

Hi,

You can change the location via Enterprise manager.

Details about your data and log files are stored in the control file.
