Change password using service BBPAT04

Hello,

We would like to use service BBPAT04 to change the password of a user.

We do not want to enable the help link on the logon-page. Only certain users are allowed to do this for other users.

At this moment it is possible to execute the BBPAT04 as a sap-gui transaction, but it will not run as a internet service using the HTML templates.

We added the transaction in the user role (PFCG).

I also enabled the service in transaction SICF.

Has anyone ideas ?

Hi

Prior to SRM 5.0, it was possible to invoke another ITS Web transaction where the logon user can change password, currency format, address details without going to SU01 (SU3 -> Change own user's data).

But This is not possible from SRM 5.0 version onwards.

We raised a similar issue. After raising an Customer message with SAP, We got the answer. all the Transactions

BBPATTRMAINT

BBPUM01

BBPUM02

points to the SU01 tcode.

Hi Atul,

Thanks for the info.

BBPUM01 and BBPUM02 are not available in our system.

In the mean time we managed to add the service BBPAT04 to the user-rol bij adding a SAP_BW_TEMPLATE with the following link <bsp_protcl>://<bsp_server>/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/bbpat04

By using the variables <bsp_protcl> and <bsp_server> the link will be system independent as well.
