Hi all,
I am new for XI. and in file 2 file scenario what is FTP sever and in this is it necessary to crate 2 technical systems and 2 business systems and why.
Hi,
For a file to file scenario using FTP this is only necesary to create one business system, in which you have to create two communication channel; file sender, and file receiver.
Take into consideration that you will have to convert the content of the file into XML (XI only works with XML), and vice versa, so you will have to use the content conversion parameters.

<b>What is FTP></b>
FTP is a method to transfer files (documents, images, ...) over the Internet from one computer to another.FTP uses the client/server model. On one side, there is the client ... you and on the other side there is a server, on which files are stored.
It is enough to use a business service where in a CC is created and adapter is specified as File. The protocol to select is FTP in this case. Here two CC is created, one for sender and another for reciever.

Hi,
for file you can just create Business service. Its not mandatory to create BS.
Business system is mostly for created for SAP systems where u identify a system with Logical system name.
