Hi gurus
can u pls explain me about header level, item level and scheduleline.for what purpose we are using these in sales documents.how did we configure in real time.
pls help me out
Thanks & Regards
Hi Ramesh,
In a sales order we have header and an item level. At header level we enter the name of the customer and at item level we used to enter the material number.
Schedule line is used to to do the availability check for determining the future date if the stock is not available or it is avl.
Configuration of sales document type can be done thru t-code VOV8 and we need to assign an item category to it so that we can use a material in that particular sales order.
You can send me ur mail id.I will send you some documents related to SD.
In the meantime you can refer to the link below:

Hi
Every Doc(Sales/Delivery/Billing Docs) includes various types of data. The classification of the data in the document depends how the data(fields) applies/used to the document as a whole or relates to the specific.
So, the header level data applies to the whole of the document and is configured in VOV8, item data applies to the specific line item only, configured in VOV7and schedule line data gives the details of the delivery date and the delivery qty, configured in VOV6.
Cheers,
Krishna

header: data valid for all the document (eg: customer...)
item: data valid only for the material, dates, payment terms....
schedule line: data that specify how the item quantity is delivered.
reward points if helpful
