Hi All,
I have successfully configured the Email Option on our Solution Manager 4.0 SR1 System, even able to send emails to external id's like yahoo, hotmail etc.. via SAP Transaction SO01.
There is not issue with Email Configuration as I am getting emails on my external ID's.
Now I want to configure the Email option with SAP Service Desk, I am able to compose the message through SAP Transaction DSWP or via Help -> Create Support Message. But When these messages are getting created User is not getting notified via email or thorugh SAP Inbox.
How we can configure the emails via Service Desk ?
Thanks,
Avinash
Hi Avinash,
Please have a look to note 691303 and to the attatched iTutor in the note.
Also check:
- in help.sap.com-> look for CRM 2005 documentation->Basis Funcions->
Actions in the CRM Online system.
Hope this helps,
Dolores

Hi Dolores,
First of all thanks a lot for your help !!
Yes, the information you have provided is really helpful to understand the email configuration with solution manager service desk scenario. But the SAP Note is talking about Sol Man 3.1. I have downloaded the .sim file and gone thorugh it but found that the objects which SAP wants to modify or create those are not exists in Sol Man 4.0 SR1.
Thanks,
Avinash
Hello Avinash,
Please give me your e-mail or send it to d.correa@sap.com.
I have done a document with the settings in the iTutor of note 691303 but for SOLMAN4.0. with the example or sending an e-mail automatically to the
creator of the message (Key User) after the status of the message was
changed from 'open' to 'in process'.
Kind regards,
Dolores
Hi Praveen,
ORA-03127 no new operations allowed until the active operation ends.
Cause: An attempt was made to execute a new operation before the active
non-blocking operation completed or a new operation was attempted before
all the pieces of a column were inserted or fetched.
Action: Execute the new operation after the non-blocking operation
completes. If piecewise binds/defines were done, execute the new
operation after all the pieces have been inserted or fetched.
This error is generally due to a network problem. Please check note
534729 and perform the test ( if possible when the error arise, in same
conditions )
Still you are gettting this error?? it was only a temporal error?

Shabbir,
Before configuring the email option in service desk, you have to configure the email in Solution Manager.
Please go through link http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005vp/helpdata/en/b0/f8ef3aabdfb20de10000000a11402f/frameset.htm.
This will help you to configure the email on any SAP systems.
Thanks,
Avinash
