Hi,
wie have a XI-system (4 CPUs, 64 GB memory,...) - a pretty good system. Now I saw, that the number of working processes is just 8 (a default installation).
I read, that RFC-connections need working processes and a context switch between Java-Stack and ABAP-Stack is working via RFC.
So I think, it's better to increase the number of working processes (e.g. to 20).
Any experiences in increasing working processes in XI?
Thanx a lot,
regards
Wolfgang hummel
Hi Wolfgang,
take a look to:

Hope this help

Wolfgang Hummel,
As per one of the tuning guides from SAP,
no of WPs is approximately equal to 4 times the number of CPUs.
20 or even 16 (4 * no of CPUs) makes sense.
good luck
