Hi All,
We are currently working in a scenario where we need to gather master data from 10 different systems and then harmonize the data. We would like to know how we can go ahead with this process in SAP MDM to solve issues of Conflict and Duplication. Do the rules need to be provided by us or does the tool provide some generic rules?
<b>Are there any other tools for MDM in the market which would be able to address this kind of complexity? How should we go ahead with the evaluation?</b>
What is the volume of data that can be handld by SAP MDM?
Pointers would be really helpful.
Thanks and Regards
Hello:
MDM has good dedplication functionalities but yes, you have to enter the dedup rules yourself.
I've seen that there's documentation about some scenarios where SAP provides some generic rules as a guide, but it's always better that you can provide your own rules based on your specific data.
MDM can handle up to millions of records
Finally I'd like to point out that SAP MDM provides all the functionality you are looking for <b>without needing a single line of code</b>. API for Java/COM/ABAP is available if you need something really special, but whole scenarios are supported without the need of coding. I believe this should be one main point on your evaluation.
I hope this helps
