service sapdp00 timed out

hi everybody does someone can help to fix this matter.When I try to launch

my Saplogon I have got this error msg

connection to host 10.10.0.10

service sapdp00 timed out

Component: NI (network interface)

version:37

module:nixxi_r.cpp

method:Nipconnect

return Code -12

counter 1

There could be various reasons for the below error,

1) Check the System no. in ur logon pad for the SAP system that you are connecting

2) Network slowness

3) Firewall Issues

4) SAP system availability (stopped or running)

Also find out if any one else in the same network or check if you are able to connect to the SAP system from a PC next to you.

I am getting the same timed out error, My message server port is 3600 and sapdp00 is 3200 (both are properly available in the services file). infact it was working properly. But I had put some patches using SPAM, after that I am getting the error....

open "services"-file on C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\

add following entry for dispatcher:

sapdp<InstanceNumber>   32<InstanceNumbger>/tcp

sample:

sapdp00   3200/tcp

add following entry for message server:

sapms<SID>   32<InstanceNumber>/tcp

sample:

sapmsC01   3200/tcp

What kind of sap system do you have ? is it the preview install ?
