Why are my messages sorted on Type?

Hi,

After completing the validation of all data, the messages that are displayed using the Message Manager are sorted on Type. Does anyone know what I can do to prevent this? I want to show the messages in the order that I want them to be shown. Thanks a lot for your help.

Hi Andre,

Messages are sorted by priority for usability reasons. Mostly, requests like yours arise from the need to display some kind of log, where the sequence of messages is important. My suggestion is not to use the MessageArea for this purpose, but to display a log using other means. Otherwise a user won't be able to differentiate between the content of the log and errors he/she made.

thanks for your reply. I still think, however, that it is not up to SAP to decide that the messages should be sorted in some way before they are displayed. I think it should be up to us to determine the sequence of the messages. But it looks like I should come up with another solution.
