hi there,
when writing a forum entry I am often faced with the problem that I do want to make reference to several preceding posts and not just one.
this is quiet difficult since at the 'input page' there's only the one posting shown which I reply to. IMHO it would be better to see the whole thread below the input form to be able to read other contribution while writing one's own.
since in more than 80% of threads posts do not span across multiple pages this shouldn't not be a problem to implement.
regards,
anton
Quick tip:
When you need to refer to other posts, just above the subject line of your reply is a link to the thread. Right click and 'open in new tab/window' (depending on browser).

I like Mike's suggestion, which for me resolves the problem
But for the record, Anton, we have entered it as a request for forum changes. As Craig mentioned we can't guareentee its implementation and since our requests are weighted, we need to be sure when we recommend that this doesn't surplant other requests.

We will take a look and see what might be possible - however no promises on "when"
