Unique Constraint in Qualifiers

Former Member

Units of Measure is set up as Qualified Table.

Unit is a Non-Qualifer

EAN/UPC is set up as <b>Qualifer</b> and as <b>Unique</b> field.

The requirement is to have unique EAN/UPC for each Unit of Measure for all products.

Though EAN field is set up as Unique Field, MDM Data Manager is allowing Duplicates.

Any suggestions.

Hi Adhappan,

I think you should include remote key in the record matching step while importing into EAN.

Beacuse of the remote key property that "<b>same key cannot be applied to multiple MDM records</b>",No EAN duplicates will be imported and your problem will be solved.

Hope It will help you.Let me know the result.

Thanks,

Key mapping is not turned on for the Qualifier Table.

My question was, I am able to enter the same EAN number for multiple Qualified links in <b>Data Manager</b>.

Though the EAN Qualifier field is defined as Unique, in console, it it letting me enter the same EAN for multiple qualified links.

What is the purpose of Unique Constraint for Qualifiers?

Hi,

Uniquie field functionality

Not available for object tables, special tables, or any multi-valued field type

But it is there as part of the field details.

Just check in the Console reference guide under Unique Fields section. They have a note.

Hope this helps.

Thanks and Regards
