Installing 2004s and XI

Hi All,

Can any one help me with the installation of 2004s and XI on the same host.I will be pleased if you can help me with the installation procedure or mail the Installation guides to g_g_raju@yahoo.co.uk if you have one.

Just to clarify one of Barry's comments.

SAP NetWeaver XI is part of SAP NetWeaver. It is one option for installing part of SAP NetWeaver. Please note that SAP NetWeaver XI 3.0 is the last release of XI, it is now completely included in the SAP NetWeaver 2004s.

Does that mean you no longer have to install NW first then XI?

You just install NW XI?

I have not done an install on NW2004s yet.....

Hi Barry,

You install a SAP NetWeaver system with the usage type PI activated. PI includes the AS ABAP and AS JAVA usage types.

Pretty much the must read doc for anybody considering SAP NetWeaver 2004s or an application running on SAP NetWeaver 2004s.
