Hello,
I want to set the network printer on 4.7 oracle + unix system.
I am having only ip address of printer.
Can we do remote printing on network printer??????
If no then which printing is possible and how to do setting (Access Method & Device Attributes )
Hi Danniel,
Of course, you can assign an printer directly on OS. If you are working on Digital unix, you need to define the printer in "\etc\printcap" first. If you are working on HP-UX, you need to define the printer on "SAM" tool, as a first step. Then choose "L: Print locally via LP/LPR with signal" and write down printer name that you have defined in configuration file on operating system. By doing so you can define the printer.
