While installing Developer Workplace an error occured. Error Details:

Hello,
we have the same problem, which came from 2 different JAVA versions.
We solved by copying back the jar files in /opt/IBM..../jre/lib/security back from xxxxx.1.jar to ....,jar
If you have another platform and so other java-vendor, try to find exchanged security files. They are copied with e.g. local_policy.1.jar.
Try to
save the two files without a number to .2,jar
copy the ones with the number1 (local_policy.1.jar) back to the original filename back (local_policy.jar)
That soved here the problem.

Set the JAVA_HOME & Path as environment variables.

Here the solution:
- go to the install dir (/tmp/sapinst_instdir/<product>/SYSTEM/ORA/CENTRAL/AS/install)
- unpack the J2EEINSTALL.SAR via
/sapmnt/<SID>/exe/SAPCAR -xvf /sapcd/java/J2EE_OSINDEP/J2EE-INST/J2EEINSTALL.SAR

You should review the permissions to the installation directories and ensure that the <SID>adm user has R/W permission. If the user is OK attach the rest of the files I asked you for.

I do not know if this will help, but it likely won't hurt, and is a good thing to try.
You may want to try downloading and installing the Sun Java Cryptography Extensions (JCE) from:
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html
This zip file will contain two important files: local_policy.jar and US_export_policy.jar. Extract these files into the following folder:
C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_09\lib\security
After extracting these files, restart your installation.
