I configured two RFC ('WD_XXX__MODELDATA_DEST and WD_XXX_RFC_METADATA_DEST). I tested it and it shown green light.
When I run my application that coonnect to CRM using RFC, I got the following errors:
<i>com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.TypeNotFoundException: type com.xxx.types.Syuname could not be loaded: com.sap.dictionary.runtime.DdException: 'WD_ICEBERG_RFC_METADATA_DEST' not properly defined! I understand that I need to configured the Metadata Dictionary type for the RFC. For this, I need to configure the Message Server properties (for load balancing).
But my Basis guy told me that CRM is an application server, so we only can configured with application server properties. Is this true? (I really doubt it) That is no Message Server connection to CRM system now.
If it is true, how can I create a RFC connection to CRM system?
Thanks for help.

I was having just the same problem, but I solved it doing the following:
In SAP/R3, transaction SMLG, I created a group called SPACE setting the IP Address to itself, for instance, my server was running on 192.168.1.10 host=MYHOST, the IP Address in the Attribute tab I set the same address as my server, 192.168.1.10. And suddenly it started to work with no need to restart any server.
I hope it help you ALL!

I decided to reopen this post as unanswer. The reason is I hope I can get some detail explanation why the RFC for Dictionary Metadata must to be configured with Message Server.

We have configured a Messager Server and setup the WD_RFC_METADATA_DEST with Message Server properties, and the problem solved.
The only minor drawback is, we still need to configure Message Server even we only running one CRM App Server.
