Hi all!
I am in a Windows 2003 server environment, and I need to know what to do in order to move the SAPRouter to a new host with a new IP address. I have never done anything with SAPRouter before...
Can anybody help?
Regards,
Thomas
Hi Thomas,
Here is a link for understanding <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005vp/helpdata/en/4f/992d39446d11d189700000e8322d00/frameset.htm">what is saprouter ?</a>
Also, to change hostname of the saprouter, you may simply need to install a new saprouter on your target machine and import the saprouttab file, stop the saprouter on existing host and start the saprouter service on the new host.

Hi Siddhesh,
Within the LAN I have a server on which the SAPRouter runs, with SNC cryptolib. What I am hoping to be able to do, is just to copy the c:\saprouter directory (containing all relevant saprouter files) from the old server, and paste it to c:\saprouter on the new server, and then start saprouter with the same parameters as it is started with now on the new server. Without any installation or setup.
Is this possible?
Thanks!

Thomas
Hi Thomas,
On Windows the Registry might also be involved, follow the steps taken here:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005vp/helpdata/en/4f/992dab446d11d189700000e8322d00/frameset.htm
and then copy over the saprouttab file , remember to restart the saprouter after copying of the saprouttab file using the command.
saprouter -n
Later on test basic functionality using :
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005vp/helpdata/en/4f/992dd7446d11d189700000e8322d00/frameset.htm
Hope that helps.
Regards,
Siddhesh
