hi there,
we are planning an uprade from r/3 4.6.c to my sap erp 2005 SR2.
as you know in the package delivered by SAP there are about 60 CD'S/DVD'S,
but not all of them will be used.
what are your expirience with installations ? do you copy the necessary CD'S/DVD to the application server ? or do u install it directly from the disk drive ? the problem is that our server is in an 'high-security-enviroment' in a 'bunker'. so we would need somebody there for many hours to handle the CD'S/DVD'S
regards, Martin
Hi Martin,
You could copy the DVDs to some other machine locally (in your local premises and not in your bunker ) and then do a NFS mount of that directory on your server using Remote administration tools.
You could do the entire upgrade remotely.

Siddhesh
