Project Structure - WBS with Activity Creation

Hi Friends,

We are implementing the PS for one of our client. The business requirements calls for very large volume of creation of Project Structure extned with WBS elements and activities.

<b>The Minimum Project tructure would be around 2,500 and Maximum to 20,000 ( WBS elements & Activities ). Besides that, there would be assignment of material components, resoucrces etc to each activity.</b>

Would request to give your inputs on the following

1. Does any one experienced in the past creating such high voluminous structure?

2. If so, how to get list of activities to be executed in next <b>TWO or THREE DAYS OR WEEK OR FORTNIGH (DEPENDING ON REQUIREMENT)</b> Advance information to plant persons. How to configure the SPRO settings to get advanced list of activities?

3. Hourly progress updating. Can the system supports.

Would appreciate for the valuable suggestions and thanks in advance.

Shall assign points for suitable solutions.

Hi

Option 1:

I advice to subdivide into sub-project function or also you can integrate with PM Order to make it simple and more user friendly solution.

Option 2:

You can create a template so that user can directly copy it from same and minimise the input

Yes SAP can support for hrs updating even for nos as you mentioned

Can you tell me, is there any special settings to be done in configuration settings to get hourly details and list of opetations to be carried out for next 24 hrs or 72 hrs time.

or elsewhere. can u share the information with me.

Would appreciate if you could help me how to set up settings to find out the following from scheduling

1. Actitivities to be performed in next 12 hrs / 24 hrs / 72 Hrs

2. How to revaluate work force to cover up back logs?

3. Number of work men required for given load in work center.
