JCo Destinations: Message Server connection not defined

Former Member

Hello,

we have to maintain the JCo Destinations for BI integrated planning (BI_METADATA, BI_MODELDATA, ...) as described in note 901022.

When we maintain one of these destinations in step 4.2 Msg.Server the System Name and Logon group is always empty.

After we have complete the definition by choosing 'Finish' the WebDynproContentAdministrator shows the following errors:

- MsgServerName is not defined.

- SystemName is not defined.

- LogonGroupName is not defined.

We have defined our ABAP and JAVA-Stack in SLD. We have also

done these entrys in the 'services':

- sapms01

- sapms<SID>

- sapgw01

- sapdp01

Any suggestions what went wrong?

Regards,

Sascha

Before maintaining JCO,

You require to define technical system in SLD.

Once you defined your technical system(Server fro which you are maintaining JCO) The dropdowns will fill automatically in content administrator.

for Local was you path will be:-

http://localhost:50000/sld

then go to Technical landscape

SystemName - Target server for JCO

MsgServerName - same as System NAme.

LogonGroupName -- Public

If you are not able to define technical system, first you require to configure the sld.

Sascha,

I am also getting the same error while creating the JCO connections.

MsgServerName is not defined.

SystemName is not defined.

LogonGroupName is not defined.

MsgServerName - dropdown is populated with MsgServerName.

SystemName field is blank and disabled.

LogonGroupName dropdown field is blank and disabled.

How did you solve this issue? Where did you update the LogonGroupName?

Thanks

Sundar

Update it in SLD.

if you have local WAS then:-

http://localhost:50000/sld.

If you have already defined the techniical system, update in existing one.

else you reuire to define new technical system.

HI Sascha !!

Check that if you have placed "saproute.ini" & "sapmsg.ini" file correctly in your system.
