Can I install an application server (ABAP ECC 6.0) on a separate host with NFS between the CI/DB. I have a firewall between the app server and CI/DB and wonder if there would be any issue with the installation?
Any advice would be most grateful.

We currently run the DB and CI on different hosts.
Why is there a firewall between them? Just make sure the communication ports are not blocked...
