i can enter a new po in se37 bapi_po_create

i put in type NB

purch org 3000

purch group 000

vendor 58121

item 00010

pur_mtl scw1212

plant 3000

schedule 00010

del date 01/18/2007

quantity 100.000

this information created a new po 45000016032

now i am trying to use this exact info in inbound idoc pordcr101

if this info works in se37 should this same info work when i use it in idoc pordcr101?????

janice,

Its not necessary that if it works in se37, it should work for IDOC also because IDOC and BAPI logic could be different. Please make sure that you populate all the required fields in both IDOC and BAPI to make it work.

How do you delete the empty segments

are the required fields the following:

comp_code,doc_type,vendor,purch_org,pur_group,doc_date for header

po_item,Material,plant,quantity for item

po_item, Schedule_date, quantity for schedule

do i need anything else?

Hi,

in we19 delete the empty segments by selecting the segment and pushing on the delete button

stupid question i deleted the unused segments

no matter what i do i keep getting enter purch org which i can see i am entering in my data records i see purch org 3000

in se37 i successfully generated to po with this purch org

Is the doc_type 'NB'

any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated

i am entering exactly what i put in se37

Hi,

Janice just one thing:

when you used the data from bapi exploer

did you delete all the empty segments in WE19 ?

if not do it and try again

only those filled need to stay
