I have installed the FrontEnd BW Module, in many users and works very well with the Bex, but just one cumputer as this problem:
whne we run the Bex it gives this error: VBA Run-time error 61704.
I run the sapbexc.xla but the result is exactly as in the other computers,
We have installed the office again but the error presists.
Can any one help me?

Antonio,
Have you checked the user's profile?
I got a similar problem with missing authorizations.

Hello,
I am experiencing a very similar problem. When I try and log in to my BW system using BeX Analyzer, I get the 61704 VB Run-Time Error. However, If I log into the same BW system through SAPGUI, and then execute RRMX, it will load the Analyzer with no problems.
Could you please elaborate on what permissions where changed. Also, if you can think of some other issue that would be causing this, please let me know.
Thanks,
Tom
Hello Thomas,
for now the user who as the problem is a user that can use the sap_all, and this resolve the question, but isn´t the solution.
The problem must be in the computer, because in other computers, the same user with resticted permissions works fine.
But for now i don´t know what is the really problem.
One solution for this problem is to discover what permission is causing the problem, but it require some time to discover that....
Regards,
António
Thanks for the help. It looks like some older versions of BeX do not check a requried authorization object, and that is why this problem is not appearing on every machine. See the SAP Note below...

Short text OCX Controls: Authorization for function modules.

Component BC-FES-AIT-CTR
Function, Logon and Table OCX Control
________________________________________________________________________
Long text
Symptom
Function module authority check failure
details in Customer Message Number : 0020079747 0000053549 2004
Other terms
OCX Controls RFC authority Run-time error '61704'
Reason and Prerequisites
OCX RFC Controls are calling RfcGetStructureInfoAsTable
instead of RFC_GET_STRUCTURE_DEFINITION in older versions.
RfcGetStructureInfoAsTable is calling internally
RFC_GET_UNICODE_STRUCTURE that has different authorization
properties.
Solution
Because RFC_GET_UNICODE_STRUCTURE belongs to function group RFCH,
the authorization to RFCH is needed.
Add advanced authorization properties to the user.
Advanced general info can be found in note 93254.

Hi Folks,
We had this problem last week - found this fix on Google:
http://groups.google.co.uk/groups?q=runtimeerror%2761704%27+SAP&hl=en&lr=&selm=53E511BF-1E14-478F-96FE-947678704409%40microsoft.com&rnum=1
Here is the text of the reply:
<i>Here is the fix, it was an authorization error causing the problem:
When trying to open a query from the BeX Analyzer in Excel, a VB runtime
error 61704 occurs on the desktop. It was found that a missing authorization
caused this error. This missing authorization also caused a Runtime error 91
when opening the query designer (from the desktop).
Add the following authorization to the base user role:
RFC Type=FUGR
RFC Name=RFCH
ACTVT=16</i>
This has fixed the issue for us
Regards
Graham
