transport issue

Hi guys.

Could any one help

I have any issue while transporting change requests , files are getting transported

but in the COFILES AND DATA folder the file type shows as

performance assessment test.

Can anyone tell me what does that mean.

Does it mean that file has not been tranported properly.

Hi Kiran,

with file type, we can't say whtr the request is imported properly. Based upon the <b>return code</b> ('rc') and <b>log</b>,( which will be generated at the time of import,) we can say whtr the import is successful or not.

if the RC is <8 then it is a successful import.

if RC=8, then, there is some error, while importing the TR.

if RC > 8 then, there might be some problem with "tp.exe".

hope this info helps,

with BR,

Rajesh.

Hi Kiran,

Please check if your transport profile is properly maintained:

Please check it at : /usr/sap/trans/bin/TP_<domain>.PFL.

Also check if it is accesible through all systems of your landscape through AL11. If it is not then you have issues with authorizations.Path in Al11 is same as above.

Also the same profile file should be visible in all systems. If not then it could be a sharing issue. The file would not have been mounted properly.

Where do you get RC?

Please check the transport log, towards the end, a the bottom of the page, the return code should be visible.

There are more codes other than 8, like 4 and 12 to mention a few.

Idealy you want 4, warnings or 0, no errors.

Hello Kiran,

The cofiles and data files reside in shared transport directory. You dont need to check things like transport of files. Simply go to SE01 and check for transport logs for the transport. That will let you know if the transport has been successfully moved.

Please award points accordingly.
