Hello,
I'm trying to apply SPS10 to my SPS9 EP system. I've tried a couple of times and keep getting the following error in the JSPM console(edited for clarity):
...
Software component SAP KERNEL deployment messages:
Cannot exchange kernel binary archives. Could not execute the kernel patch. See previous messages. Could not finish Copy operation with parameters fromFile '', toFile '',toDir 'D:/usr/sap/PTD/SYS/exec/uc/NTI386/'.Cannot copy D:\usr\sap\PTD\JC01\j2ee\JSPM\tmp\krnl<datetime>\newKernel\kernel\sapevents.dll to directory D:\usr\sap\PTD\SYS\exe\uc\NTI386. Cannot copy D:\usr\sap\PTD\JC01\j2ee\JSPM\tmp\krnl<datetime>\newKernel\kernel\sapevents.dll to D:\usr\sap\PTD\SYS\exe\uc\NTI386\sapevents.dll using Windows console operation. 1
The temporary directory exists and contains the sapevents.dll file. The first step of the patch worked and applied JSPM 10.1 successfully. Should I just shutdown the server and copy these files by hand? Any other ideas?
Thanks.
Rob
This is a known problem. Basically, when this happens, go into the operating systems level and rename he file sapevents.dll to something else and hit retry. It doesn't happen all the time but very often on kernel upgrades.
