XI RFC-Sender not registred at SAP Gateway

Former Member

Hi XI specialists,

i have configured a rfc-sender within XI using the blog: /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/03/29/configuring-the-sender-rfc-adapter--step-by-step

but in the transacion SMGW in my R/3-System (CRM5.0) there is no program id registred. The RFC-Settings:

RFC-Sender

GW-Host = SAP-BusiniessSystem (crmhost01)

GW-Service = SAP-BusinessSystem-Sysno(sapgw12)

ProgID = BS_CRM_LISTENER

Any Ideas ?

In XI-Monitoring: component_monitoring>Adapterengine>communication channel i can not find my new RFC-Sender....

Thanks.

Best regards,

André

Hi André,

your settings seem to be ok, if you have activated the CC but it is not shown in RWB then probably it could be necessary to refresh CPA cache.

If you can see it in RWB then have a look at the component trace.

Hi Sergio,

thanks...I take a look on IntegrationBuilder for the cache notification and see here that the notification to refresh the cache in Intergration Server (central adapter-engine) stay at red light (not started). The Notification to ABAP-Chache is done...

What can i do ?

Kindly regards,

André

Hi,

If you just want to check if RFC is working. Just activate your sender RC adapter and test run the RFC destination. If this works that means your program is registered.

If you are running the scenario and getting the error, please can you put that error from the payload so that we can give more inputs

Hi Sergio,

it was hard to find the corresponding error-message but it can be that:

CPA Cache not updated with directory data, due to: Couldn't open Directory URL (http://debzisap30:50000/dir/hmi_cache_refresh_service/ext?method=CacheRefresh&mode=C&consumer=af.xi1.debzisap30), due to: HTTP 401: Unauthorized

Could that be ? Any Ideas ?

Thanks for help.

Dear Vijaya,

the SM59-Test gives an error : "programid xyz is not registred" and the Trkt. SMGW of the R/3-System does not show any registrated programid from my XI.

Hi André,

check that XIDIRUSER and XIAFUSER are not locked and all the relevant roles are assigned.

Hi,

Know sounds really silly but please can you give a program id without any underscore in your name and do the test!!!

Please give IP address:

GW-Host = SAP-BusiniessSystem (crmhost01)

Q 13: What is the correct value within the field 'Application server service (Gateway)' for sender channels?

A: This value has to be the name of the service port which is running the gateway. Normally this will be a name like sapgwXX, where XX is the system number of the particular system. This value also can be looked up in the gateway monitor. Open transaction SMGW and choose Goto -> Parameters -> Display. Beneath Attributes there will be the entries 'gateway hostname' and 'gateway service'.#

so is your GW-Service = SAP-BusinessSystem-Sysno(sapgw12) coreect?

From your server name it looks as though the system number is 01.

vijaya

Hi Sergio,

thanks...

I have searched SDN and OSS, but what are the "relevant" roles for that user.

Many are assigned (via Groups), but i cannot find any logs what is missing...

Thanks a lot.

Hi Andre,

Looking at the error,

<i>"CPA Cache not updated with directory data, due to: Couldn't open Directory URL (http://debzisap30:50000/dir/hmi_cache_refresh_service/ext?method=CacheRefresh&mode=C&consumer=af.xi1.debzisap30), due to: HTTP 401: Unauthorized</i>

it seems this problem is originating from RFC destination INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI not been configrued properly. Can you first test this RFC destination and confirm.

Hi,

just follow my weblog:

1. create a communication channel inside XI - put all details there - <b>activate it</b>

2. create RFC dest in CRM and use the same program ID as in XI

just do all the steps <b>as per my weblog</b> and it will work

michal
