Hello Everyone! Can anybody give a documentation regarding Data Guard Software? I really need to gather data or study about this so called Data Guard Software.
My colleague and I are planning to set - up and configure Data Guard Software to our back up server. As for now, my knowledge with this software is limited. So pls help me and guide where to get some info's about it.
By the way, we are using SAP R/3 46c and AIX5L 5.2 and Oracle 9.2.
Thanks,
Armin

A standby database is the most effective disaster recovery solution for an Oracle database because a standby database can be used to run your production system if your primary database becomes unusable. A standby database can also be used to remedy problems caused by user errors, data corruption, and other operational difficulties.
This guide describes Oracle Data Guard concepts, and helps you configure and implement standby databases.
