USE the transaction code PPOMA_BBP ,.in the list organisation etc ,,,, click on the user . U will get the list of users . click on the user to whom u wnat to assign the business partner.

u will get the user in the main window. click the assign icon , u will get pop up for there u can select the business partner and assign the business parner to the user.....

Please reward points for useful answers

Hi,

I have already tried that and it states "the system could not determine a suitable object type"

Any other suggestions

Hello,

I'm not sure we have the same configuration. What I see in PPOMA_BBP

is like that:

Organization Unit (ID O xxxx) => is connected to a business partner
   Postion (ID S xxxxx)
Person (ID P xxxxx) => connected to a business partner and a user

If you have a similar structure, I may be in a position to help as we had various issues there...

Hi Anne,

Our set up is as follows

Org Unit (ID 0 xxxx ) => is connected to business partner

Position (ID S xxxx )

Object ( ID BP xxxxx )

User ( ID US xxxxx )

User ( ID US xxxxx )

Basically is the problem is the user has come seperated from the BP. Also it stating user is not integreated in the org structure. I'm finding it difficult to recreate the error also in our Test clients... As stated pervious EBP is not my subject, so any help would be greatfully appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Jamie,

Apparently we don't have the same set-up. On my side I'm not 100% sure I have what I should...

I'm not an EBP specialist either but I had hard time with OM...

Have you tried to assign the user in PPOMW instead of PPOMA_BBP ?

I'd suggest you BBP_BP_OM_INTEGRATE (it's an IMG transaction) to check the disconnected business partner and a working one and do the same for the a working user and the non-working one. Transaction PP01 (expert OM) may also be used to carry out such comparisons.

First try note 785802.

Failing this there is a note 683782 which tells about reassignment.

Please award points.

Hi, i have managed to notice that they have different assignments in pp01.

I cant run BBP_BP_OM_INTEGRATE. In our org we seem to have to lines for user. One as attached to BP and the other seems to be connected to the position.

I have checked user and everything seems to say cant do as user not integrated into the org structure. How is this done?? Is there some sort of update i can run for org or does this only happen on USER_GEN??

Hi Jamie,

I found some useful infromation in the following link:

If a user is not integrated in the org structure, nothing works... do you have a lot of affected users? If you have a user for service marketplace they can give you support on the precise instruction on how to fix users.

Jamie,

You should be able to fix your problem with transaction PPOME. Here you will be able to assign the broken link. (i.e Assign the user to the position).

Please let me know if you still have further problems and i can help you resolve it.

Thanks all for your comments. We were able to resolve this in the end by using transaction "BP" and entering the Business Partner no. against the user in this screen. As stated in original post the problem was the user had come disconected to the Business Partner and not the position. Thanks again
