Hello togehter,

i have install the sap web dispatcher 7.0/NetWeaver 2004s.

After the installation give the config check the following result:

sapwebdisp pf=<profile> -checkconfig

Checking J2EE servers with URL "/index.html":

Checking J2EE server rcjut054:51300...ERROR: unexpected OK code: 404

ERROR: check if application is deployed and active

I think the problem is that the Message Server instance list have not the full hostname: rcjust054.abc.abcde.com

Have somebody an idea how i can change this?

edit the webdispatcher profile solve this issue

Hi Markus

We have to main icm/host_name_full on both servers.

Note: the value icm/host_name_full is not same on both...

i add the icm parameter, but by the "checkconfig" tool i get always the result:

I think the webdispatcher get this information of the message server. But I don`t know where i can change the host to the fullname host.

Are you able to ping the server rcjut049 ?

try to telnet rcjut049 51300

check profile parameter: icm/host_name_full

Check any fire wall

i`m sure that we NEED the full name.

But i don`t know where i add the missing fullname.

if i should check the parametr on the two portals /rcjut049 and rcjut054) or in the WebDispatcher?

Hi,

For testing:

Could you please try to accesses using IPaddress.

Or for testing purpose main entry in the host file of desktop (IP FQDN)

Hi Ben,

if i make the test manual, all connections are working. The work in the browser with the full hostname and ip-adress:

http://194.147.45.48:51300/index.html

http://rcjut049.cja.roche.com:51300

But NOT with the short hostname:

http://rcjut049:51300

I think it looks ports conflict

If I am wrong can you explain your problem clearly.

Hi Ben,

i think it is not a port conflict. The CI on rcjut049 and the DI on rcjut054 are still working. Another aspect is, that is is a requirment to install the DI with the same instance number as the CI.The result is the same port, but on diffrent server. If think it is only a problem with the hostname.
