RFC Destination with SAProuterString

Hi guys,

i would like to have a connection to a 3rd party system of a client of ours to send an IDoc from sender system into XI.

Therefore i think i have everything done in the SLD.

I am now stuck at the RFC-Destination from XI-System to 3rd party system. Unfortunately we have to use a SAProuter-String - but i have no clue how:

I confinfigured as follows:

Connectiontype: 3

target host: i put the destination IP of teh 3rd party system

gateway host: do i have to put the SAProuter-string here

gateway-service: do i need it

sorry for my question but i already tried everything.

Hi,

about SAProuter you should be able to put it

"information in the Advanced Settings"

as per

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/5a/97a066223e440b8ead3da027b17d9e/content.htm

but I don't see it on my system

<b>but try to specify : the host name with saproute string

/H//S//H//S/</b>

michal

Hi Jens,

3rd party system means <b>NOT</b> SAP system. So, what do you want with a SAP router string??

Ops, well i only tried to say that this system isn't one of ours. Sorry for this.

It's a 4.6c R/3 System.

@Michael: i found the advance settings - but no field for the SAProuter String

and i already tried to put the router-string into the Host-field

hi,

this saprouter in host name should work

(answer by Renjith Andrews) :

BTW did you specify it correctly?

/H/<router host>/S/<router port>/H

Hi Michal,

i tried to use your suggestion of routerstring but actually we are using the standard-port 3299. so it's not necessary to use /S/!

But anyway, it's still not working...i have no idea and our basis-man either because he has no clue of R/3.

Is there a solution where i could connect the client-system on another way? it's a 4.6c and only opened via this SAProuter-String. We are thinking about a VPN-Tunnel, i guess we could use DNS after this in the RFC - but mybe i am wrong...

Some ideas?!

Best regards, Jens

Hi,

maybe your saprouter is not configured properly?

I'd try in standard - sm59

Our Basis says its working fine so far. But i can't figure out how to set the parameters in the R/3!

Isn't there another way to connect a foreign system to the XI?!

thx

hi,

about saprouter:

open sm59 and click F1 on the hostname field

you see that saprouter string has to be placed there

michal

Yes i know, but it's not working.

I have folowing style of SAProuter-String

/H/62.206.XX.YYY/H/170.56.XX.YY/H/

additionaly i got the IPs form the systems i have to connect: 170.56.XXX.YY with the System ID XY

Also i have been told that the port range is open from 3200-3399 so that the standard port 3299 is also open and don't have to be specified.

So i put the given SAProuterString in the host field and added the system-IPs for example, but the connection-test is always aborting!

any ideas, i am kind of desperate!

thx at all, Jens

Hi,

why don't you contact SAP via OSS since it's a<b> SAP standard</b> and it's not working?
