problems in newly installed XI

hi,

we have newly installed a xi system. the problem we are facing are:

firstly after login to the Integration Builder, we are unable to access IR, ID, SLD and RWB. It says "Authorisation Error". We twice checked the user id and password before logging in. The user id and password is correct, but still we get the "Authorisation Error". however, as PISUPER user, we are able to access the IR, ID, SLD and RWB. i don't think the problem is firewall or ports or java web start. the problem is somthing to do with assigment of roles. please correct.

secondly, how do we check the completeness of the system. Because after logging into Repository and Directory using PISUPER user id, are there any software components which should appear as default.

thirdly, in the RWB -->Component Monitoring, under Adapter Engine, only the Adapter Monitoring icon is appearing but the channel monitoring icon is not appearing. (note: currently there are not communication channels or adapters configured in directory as it is a fresh system). what should be done to make this channel monitoring appear.

please provide possible solution.

Hi balakrishnan,

For the adapters and emty respository you need to import the standard XI content (included in a zip or tgz file). This import also includes the meta data for the adapters. After the import you will find the adapters in communication channel monitoring.

A user id in SAP XI/PI must have at least some of the SAP_XI* roles. A good starting point is the SAP_XI_DEVELOPER composite role.
