Developer Workplace License

Former Member

Hello forum, here's my problem:

We're a seven member team and all of us have installed Developer Workplace (WAS, Portal, Developer Studio, MaxDB...) in our pcs. We installed this Developer Workplace from our company's Netweaver DVD's, not from the Sneak Preview downloaded from SDN.

A few days ago our license expired, and we don't know which is the best way to license this product. Do we need to ask for one license for each person? Do we need only one license for all of us?

Maybe one of you have got this problem in a near past. Please, share some information about which is the best way for licensing all our installations.

Thanks a lot.

Alberto.

Since you have installed WAS and Portal on each developer's machine (that is each developer is running their own J2EE instance), you will need to request a license for each installation from SAP via the marketplace.

Hi,

does anybody know, if there is a free license for the developer workplace or is SAP charging the license even for developer workplace installations?

Thanks in advance,

Martin
