Factory Calendar -- Sales Org Level

Hi,

We have basicaly configured factory calendar Id at Shipping point level.

But was wondering that whats the purpose of factory calendar ID at Sales org level.??

And if i have maintained Factory calendar at both level, which one will have priority, while creating delivery/shipping or invoice combinations.

The Factory calendar at sales Org level will be used for the sales order, whereas the factory calendar at the shipping point level would be used at the delivery level.

Sometime back, had a problem with one of the customer where the Factory calendar attached to sales Org and Shipping point were different and having different holiday schedule which resulted in delivery not been created at a specific date, which was a holiday in the calendar attached to the Plant, but not a holiday in the calendar attached to the sales Org.

Hi Gauravjit,

I'm facing a similar problem. We have a single Sales Org but 2 different plants. Plant A and Sales Org has the same factory calendar in whic Sat and Sun are holidays (Mon-Fri are workdays) whereas Plant B has a Factory Calendar in which Wed and Sun are holidays (and the rest are working days). Now the user operating in Plant B, is able to create a Cash Order on Sat but it picks up the schedule line in that SO as the following Mon( by the virtue of Factory calendar attached to Sales Org) and hence the delivery doesnot get created immediately as expected. He/She has to create the delivery manually only after the week-end. How can we handle this situation? Any ideas?
