Error while Activating all the objects?

Hi all,

I am using SAP NetWeaver 2004 version. And I am following the blog

<a href="/people/venkat.donela/blog/2005/03/03/introduction-to-simple-file-xi-filescenario-and-complete-walk-through-for-starterspart2://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/1345[ [original link is broken];/url

I followed following steps:

1. Created a Business System "without party".

In this step four communication channels were created:

a. GeneratedReceiverChannel_HTTP

b. GeneratedReceiverChannel_IDOC

c. GeneratedReceiverChannel_RFC

d. GeneratedReceiverChannel_XI

/Then I created two more communication channels for the same Business System namely: FileSender, FileReceiver.

When I tried to activate all these objects through "Changed List" tab, I got the following errors:

Activation of the change list canceled

Check result for Communication Channel | s16 | GeneratedReceiverChannel_IDoc:

Required field RFC Destination missing

Required field SAP Release missing

Check result for Communication Channel | s16 | GeneratedReceiverChannel_RFC:

Required field Logon User missing

Required field Logon Password missing

Required field Logon Language missing

Required field Logon Client missing

Please suggest me some remedy.

Thanks,

Ravi

Hi Ravi,

two suggestions:

1) Delete and import new without automatic generating (a-d)

2) Fill in dummy values in a-d; then activate change list, then delete a-d

Hi,

Delete the created communication channels (Rt click-->reject changes). Then create them again and provide the necessary (mandatory) information. And go to change list and activate the objects again.

Hi,

The follwing are the standard adapter created:

a. GeneratedReceiverChannel_HTTP

b. GeneratedReceiverChannel_IDOC

c. GeneratedReceiverChannel_RFC

d. GeneratedReceiverChannel_XI

If you are not using the above adapters and have not updated them with allt he paramters. You should delete them and then change the activating list.

Hi,

you need to either fill out the data for the IDOC channel

(all required values)

or if you don't use the IDOC channel you can just remove it

(reject change - right click)

you will be able to create it later on without any problems if necessary
