Install of SAP NEtweaver Developer WorkPlaceSR2 (The Xserver Service fails)

Hello,

I've been trying to install the SAP NEtweaver Developer WorkPlace SR2 and it fails.

Error "1067 Xserver service process terminated unexpectedly"

OS: Win XP Pro SP2

The Xserver service is the process for MAX DB and the install will not continue and I'm unable to get passed it. I double checked all the passwords and user accounts and they are correct. I've also tried to install the trial version and it fails at the exact same point. Any insight would be helpful.

Also, go install DBMGUI (from www.maxdb.org), it wil lgive you a visual GUI look on the state of your MAXDB instance.

as you already mentioned: Xserver is MAXDB.

Therefore go there for help.

check the event log (my computer->manage->event log)
