Deployment error with StackOverflow:

1. Error: Below is the error iam gettigng when i try to deploy a EAR file

Hi Muthu,

Please check the /usr/sap/<SID>/<instance>/j2ee/cluster/server<n>/log/defaultTrace.n.trc for more information on the StackOverflowError (e.g. stack trace). What version of NetWeaver are you using?

Hi

Iam using SAP NetWeaver Application Server, Java(TM) EE 5 Edition.

Now its throwing

<b> "Caused by: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError Java heap space (failed to allocate 32784 bytes)"</b>

How to increase Heap space in this version.

Hi Muthu,

1. Go to the C:\SAP\JP1\JC00\j2ee\configtool folder

2. Start configtool.bat

3. Go to cluster-data -> template - template_javaee -> instance - IDxxxxx

4. Go to the VM Parameters tab and edit the maxHeapSize property

5. Save and restart the system.

Hi Vladimir

Thank you so much and navigated as you said we increased the Heap size.

I tried through Cofig tool previously and we are not able to loacate the

exact place.

But now the issue is again with

"java.rmi.RemoteException: class java.lang.StackOverflowError: Methods getMessage() and getLocalizedMessage() of java.lang.StackOverflowError returned NULL.Please check, why the original exception was thrown with message NULL."

As you said i went and check the log files and iam having the same error list in the default trace also.

Let me know how to solve the issue....Its not mentioning any file name where i can go and do the changes...

If you provide the stack trace of the StackOverflowError it could help localize the problem.
