Hi All,

I have stuck in the installation of MDM!

I have installed SQL Server in my system and then installed MDM Server and clients!

When am trying to create or unarchive a repository, it is giving a problem it's not connecting to the sql_server...

while trying to create new server registration there is no available serves in that list and i have given the server name as my system name but at the end it is giving a message that this server already registered!

Please let me know how to configure this step???? and up and run my MDM...

I would be highly appreciate in your help in this regard!

Thanks & Regards,

Pooja

Check your mds.ini file. Possibly something happened and the correct information is not there?

I haven't examined your INI file quite yet, I am about to but I also wanted to ask another question. Is it possible for you to log into the database manually?

When you install MDM there are several repositories that are installed by default. Material, Customer, and Vendor. An entry for those should appear in the INI file. Did you paste the entire INI file?

Hi Harrison,

Its strange that if I didn't give the username as sa...it went to next screen asked for some path...but i haven't mention anything and proceed and worked...

now i can create and unarchive the existed repositories...

but my question is can i work like this or i need to mention any path or how can i create a user for log in???

if this is ok then i can continue to work without giving the user name...let me advise on this!

Thanks & Best Regards,

Pooja

Hi,

You can change Data path from your console any time by selecting the option "Configuration" -> "DBMS Options".
