FSL-06002 Error 1060

During installation of WAS6.4SP9 i see the follwowing error in the log:

ERROR 2005-02-21 13:19:18

FSL-06002 Error 1060 (The specified service does not exist as an installed service.

) in execution of a 'OpenService' function, line (255), with parameter (SAPOsCol).

what does this error point to? what could be the effects when running EP6SP9 (as i faced problems logging in and therefor reinstalled NW)?

thanks patrick

Hi Patrick,

if i got you right, you uninstalled and reinstalled the WAS successfully? The error is the result of a trial and error step during installation, trying to open the service SAPOsCol and, if it doesn't exist, create it. So, if your reinstallation succeeded, nothing to really worry about.

Hope that helps.

Hi, Stefan:

I am having the the same problem during the installation"Start J2EE Engine". When you meant " trying to open the service SAPOsCol and, if it doesn't exist, create it." Where I can find service SAPOsCol? How can I create it, with folder type??

Thank you very much

Hi Szu,

though i'm not stefan i think what he mean't was that the installer is doing the check on the service. it's nothing to be done by "hand".
