limit on the number of 'field-set' lines you can send to the ITS?

We've just upgraded the ITS to version 6.2. I'm trying to send a lot of data using the field-set macro. This worked fine in the old ITS. Now when I try and send all the lines the page crashes. When I send just the first few lines the page is displayed ok.

Is there a limit on the number of field-set lines you can send to the ITS? Is this something I can change?

Regards

Karen

Hi Karen,

Please provide the error messages displayed on screen or the lines from the trace files or specify what you see exactly when the page "crashes" (please provide html source if necessary).

Best regards,

Henning.

There is no error message. The page displays the HTML text instead of the page.

It stops the page at a different point each time. I can load all the lines correctly, as long as I load the first half of the lines or the last half of the lines, but not all the lines at the same time. This is why it doesn't appear to be the HTML or the data.

Can you tell me how to send the trace files please?

Thank-you

Karen

I've attached the entry created in the diagnostics.log. This is what is created at the time the problem occurs.

It is now happening in other situations as well.

Hi Karen,

You should increase the MaxRespSize registry value. You can use MB notation, for example: 5MB.

Kind regards,

Alex

Hi,

I have increased the MaxRespSize to 5MB, but still get the same error.

Any ideas, pls help as this is the production box.

Hello Vivek

are you sure it is the same error?

(copy the exact message and the ITS Version into this message please)

If you have an ADM instance, go to

-> ITS instance

-> Performance

-> Container Memory

you should see the Peak Container Sizes.

Compare the peak sizes to whatever is in the 'Reserved' column of this container type.

If the Peak for 'Response' is the same as the 'Reserved' value for 'Response Container Sizes' then you should increase the value of MaxRespSize even more.

If you get a context overflow that would mean your MaxCtxtSize needs to be larger as well.

regards,

Gerd
