Hi,
I donc't use a JDI, i'm working on Netweaver 2004 SP18.
I want to ma ke backup of my web dynpro dc.
I've already copied the main directory and compacted it. But when I go back it doesn't work very well.
Is there another solution ?
Regards
hi joseph,
Take the backup of the <b>src</b> folder from the project folder. When you are trying to upload create a local DC with any name and then replace its src folder with the backup <b>src</b> folder and then <b>reload</b> it. you will not face any problem if you upload in this manner.

Hi,
If you are not using JDI (development COmponents) then i think NetWeaverStuido doesn't provide any way of taking backup of a particular project.
Whats the problem in opening the backup project ?

Hi,
One way of taking backup (Source safing the code) is installling NWDI and DTR will take care, if you have not installed NWDI.
You can do it manually all your Development components can be stored in local desktop in C://Documents and Settings/Your profile/.dtc/local development componets/DC's/testdc, copy the working testdc in to another folder say C://BackupDc folder/testdc whenever dc in NWDS will not work copy from BackupDC folder and put it in .dtc folder structure
hope this helps you
Regards,
RK
